Meet Cheryl Vrkljan

As the owner of Beyond the Classroom Waterdown, I am thrilled to offer families unique, in-home learning opportunities through tutoring programs for kids! I am passionate about supporting children, and believe that each and every child is special and capable of learning. My goal for every child is to foster a love of learning and offer a fun and positive learning experience. I’m happy to help you find a tutor for your child! Beyond the Classroom offers tutoring services in English, French, Math and all subjects from grades JK-12 with certified teachers.

I can also help you find a tutor in Ancaster, Carlisle, Dundas, Georgetown and Milton! Teaching children about Growth Mindset is incredibly important to me. It can change the way a child feels about themselves in this world!

Summer Reading Boost: Grades JK to 3

Math Momentum: Grade 10 Readiness Program

Science Readiness Accelerator: Transition from grade 10 science to Grade 11

Biology (SBI3U preparation)
Chemistry (SCH3U preparation)
Physics (SPH3U preparation)

Each program is designed around 12, 1-hour sessions booked over the summer.

At what age can my child start tutoring?

Children can start tutoring at any time from JK to Grade 12! To help you assess your child’s needs, please contact us today.

I have 2 children in the same grade, can I book 1 session for both of them together?

In our many years of experience, we have found that each child has very distinct needs and to get the most success out of the tutoring sessions we only provide one on one support.

Are there a minimum number of tutoring sessions I need to commit to?

No, the number of tutoring sessions is up to you and depends on your needs.

What are the qualifications of your tutors?

Our tutors are professionals who have a passion for teaching. All of our tutors are personally chosen by the local owners of Beyond the Classroom and are evaluated using our thorough screening method. Many of the tutors are Ontario Certified Teachers and all of our tutors have their criminal record checks completed.

How long has Beyond the Classroom been in business?

Beyond the Classroom has been providing in-home tutoring since 1998. Since that time, thousands of students have achieved academic success through the help of our professional tutors.

We will invoice you bi-weekly for the tutoring sessions through email and we accept Visa, MasterCard and Email Money Transfers.
